Lo Bak Golden Balls



Serves: 6-8

Ingredients

  • Ground pork - 600g
  • 3 big Onions (diced very small)
  • 1/2 big Turnip (diced very small)
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tbsp Five Spice Powder 五香粉
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 5 tbsp Corn Flour
  • Soya Sauce
  • Salt
  • Rice Flour (coating)
  • Plain Flour (coating)


Cook

  1. Dice up onions and turnip
  2. Mix in pork, onions, turnip, egg, 5 spice powder, sugar, oil, corn flour, soya sauce and salt to taste
  3. On a separate dry plate, mix 1 part rice flour with 1 part plain flour
  4. Roll the mixture into about 2 inches diameter balls (bite size) and coat with flour before frying
  5. Fry for 7-9 mins on medium low heat (or until golden brown)
