Fried Glutinous Rice | 生炒糯米饭


Serves: 4

Ingredients
  • Glutinous Rice - 3 small cups
  • Shiitake Mushroom - 5 pieces (Large)
  • Dried shrimps - 2 tblspoon
  • Lap Cheong - 2 sticks
  • Garlic - 3-4 cloves
  • Spring Onion (garnish)

Seasoning
  • Soya sauce
  • Dark soy sauce
  • Sesame seed oil
  • Oyster sauce
  • Water use to soak mushroom

Preparation
  1. Wash & soak rice for 5 hours
  2. Wash & soak mushroom at the same time (don't throw water away, use for cooking later)
  3. Dried shrimps wash and chop into smaller chunks
  4. Cut up garlic, lap cheong, spring onion and mushroom

Cook
  1. Put oil and fry the garlic
  2. Add in dried shrimp, lap cheong and mushroom
  3. Add in rice and seasoning
  4. Gradually add water (about 1 big bowl) to simmer and cook
  5. Sprinkle spring onion before serving
  6. (optional) steam the rice to re-heat before serving
